College of Engineering academic advisor and higher, adult and lifelong education PhD student Monica Fochtman reads a bedtime story on Jan. 21 to her son, Luke, 4, who was diagnosed with stage IV embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of pediatric cancer, on Dec. 12, 2008. "It rocks your world," Fochtman said. After 54 weeks of treatment, Luke has since been cleared of cancer.
