Anthony, known by his friends as Wood Rabbit, often spends his days wandering the streets in 115 degree heat. To cool off, he and his friends might jump the fence to go for a swim, however, unlike most people his age, that will be his only chance to bathe for the week. Since 21-year-old Wood Rabbit was abandoned by his father, each day is filled with unknowns. His days are spent "hustling" for change, hoping to collect enough money for a bag of chips at Circle K. Throughout his journeys, he's made both friends and enemies. He never knows where he'll be tomorrow.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_09cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Anthony, known by his street name Wood Rabbit, walks with his friend, Dalton Dunleavy, near the Phoenix Zoo. Wood Rabbit, who is 21, has been homeless for the last six months on the streets in Tempe, Ariz.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_10cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Dunleavy, Wood Rabbit, and Carolyn "Irish" Crawford walk to Irish's apartment in Mesa, Ariz., where she was going to heat up tacos for them to eat. Home-cooked food was a rarity for Wood Rabbit, who often ate fast food and other snacks from convenience stores.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_11cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Wood Rabbit and his friends rely heavily on business along Mill Avenue in Tempe, Ariz., for water and free samples like frozen yogurt. When he did have money, Wood Rabbit would go to a Jack in the Box or a Circle K convenience store for food. Irish went in to a yogurt store to get a frozen treat for her friends.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_12cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Wood Rabbit walks along a sidewalk in Phoenix. With no where to call home, he often walked miles each day to different places around The Valley in temperatures that exceeded 115 degrees.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_13cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Even though he could be arrested for trespassing, Wood Rabbit snuck into an apartment complex in Phoenix to use the pool. He said it would be his only bath that week.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_14cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Dunleavy, left, carefully wraps a large glass bong that he, Wood Rabbit, and Irish used to smoke marijuana at Hole in the Rock in Phoenix. The three traveled more than three hours roundtrip to the spot, which offers one of the best views of the city, they said.[img src=http://joshradtke.com/wp-content/flagallery/wood-rabbit/thumbs/thumbs_15cpoy_jbr.jpg]
Wood Rabbit, left, rests on a friend's bike on the side of a Circle K convenience store in Tempe, Ariz., late at night with some other homeless people that are a part of the "Tempe Family." While they all look out for each other, you do someone wrong and you'll find yourself outcast by the street society.
